Amoskeag Auction Co. is proud to be presenting the wonderful Weatherby collection of Dr. James D. Morgan. Over the years Dr. Morgan has amassed an impressive collection of Weatherby firearms. Growing up on the Oklahoma-Kansas border he learned to hunt at an early age. A natural born left-hander, he grew up adapting to his dad’s right-handed guns. His very first Weatherby would come to him in 1982 when he bought a used 300 Weatherby magnum Mark V rifle in left-handed configuration. From that day forward Dr. Morgan would acquire one-of-a-kind, ornate, and top-quality Weatherby rifles and shotguns, with a concentration on left-handed models. His exceptional collection of Weatherby arms will be offered over two sales, this auction being the first and showcasing his many beautiful arms. A highly dedicated member of the Weatherby Collectors Association, he is a Gold Life Member and past President of the Weatherby Collectors Assn. as well as a life member of the NRA. We are very honored to be offering such a fine and rare collection of these famous and sought-after arms.

I saw all the LH Weatherbys they have for auction and figured they bought out a collection. Some really amazing, rare stuff in there, and the prices are showing it. Can't wait to see what they actually bring. I'll probably have to put my cell phone and credit cards in a "secure" location while the auction is live.
