Available from the Remington custom shop, the model 7 with a mannlicher stock looks like a fine rifle and I'm interested in getting one in 250 Savage. If you own or have owned a model 7 ms, what did you think of the rifle? Did you have to do alot of work to make it accurate or was it pretty good right out of the box? It seems like the laminated stock would be just the fix for many of the complaints I've read regarding full stocks and barrel contact.

Bighorn, I don't personally own one but my best hunting bud has one in .350 that shoots like a target rifle. I've shot it off the bench as was shocked at how well it shot. It is his "go to" rifle and I can vouch for its stellar accuracy. A couple months ago he bought another one in .260 for his 11 year old son, at least that was his excuse. He has yet to shoot it at 100 but if it shoots as good as the .350 it'll be a winner.

I'd buy another one in a heart beat. Think of it as a light weight 700.
