I finally got some loads tested at the range. What a beautiful day it was.

Leave the house at 6:30
Stop at Mickey D's at Manorville 1 exit before the range to pickup a Number 1.
We get to the range over an hour before the gate opens. Still the 12th car on line.
There are about 40 benches on the rifle side.

The sun was right into the scope, made for some bad glare. Of coarse the guy to my left is a lefty with an AR.

My buddy had his 50 Beowulf, an M4, and a Lee enfield.
i had the custom mini-mauser and my 6.5 swed with scout scope.
We both brought Desert eagle 44mags and he also had his S&W 500.

On the way out there is an ammo supplier. last week 9mm were $25, this week $40.
Bought 500 - 230gr FMJs by Zero for $95.

These targets were not the greatest for accurate shooting groups but the 3031 (least consistent SD) was probably the best.

On the way out there was still 30 cars on line to get in. We stayed about 2 hrs.

Rich,
can you tell me about your loads, bullet weight/velocities?
I have a mini action, 6.5 barrel, stock and all for a 6.5 BR, just got to get around to putting it all together.
