Would Teflon coating a blued receiver/barrel provide similar all weather protection as stainless? What about the trigger assembly? Do stainless rifles have stainless trigger assemblies or just the receiver and barrel?
SAKO 75 Stainless have more stainless internal parts than any other rifle I believe and they made it that way purposely to be the most weather resistant rifle out of the box. I dont know if it would be better than teflon though

Teflon on chrome-moly, to me, makes little sense. That said, I have just that arrangement sitting in my safe at the moment. The problem is, the teflon will wear and the metal will show through and when it does it will be exposed to the elements. I can't see how moisture wouldn't work its way under the stuff and cause problems.
Trigger assemblies on stainless Rugers and Winchesters (I'm sure the model 70 is entirely stainless) are indeed stainless but you may find a spring or two in the ruger that isn't.
If you insist on some type of raised finish, call Robar.

Teflon wears off and stainless is not rust "proof". If you want to imunize chrome moly from the weather, have it coated with titanuim nitride. It will never wear off and nothing will ever get underneath it and rust the steel.

If you like the way it looks, you can just have the rifle dipped in camoflauge. I believe this makes them totaly weather proof and it takes ALOT to make the stuff wear of metal.
