Has anyone here had any experience with the Pact Professional? Looking at purchasing one but have seen several negative reviews on other sites.

Have had one for several (4 or 5 I think) years, I love it. Great computer that is remote from the sky screens, so if (when) you shoot your sky screens, you aren't shooting your computer. There is some really deep software in that thing, so you can really dig into it if you want, I just like speed, Standard Deviation, Average speed and the little printout, which the pact has the little printer built in, it's great. I just tear it off, and stick it in the box of ammo I shot for that string of data, and it goes into the log. I recommend it highly.

Good shooting!

I have three Pact Chronos bought in the mid to late '80s. One is in a timer.

Sat for a number of years while I was too busy at work to use them. Two did not work when I attempted to restart them. Called the Pact guys ... they said "Send them back, they're under warrantee." So I did. They came back fully functional. Transaction only cost me mailing one way.

Have served me very well and I'd sure buy Pact stuff again.

I've used one for about 10 years and don't know what I did before I got it. As Fish stated, the ballistic program is terrific.

It has an internal BC library which allows you to calculate trajectories quite accurately.Used this program to get first shot in the black @ 600 yards for friend who only had a 100 yard zero fired over the chronograph.

I like to print out the chrono information and tape it to my reloading data sheet but found out early on that printer tape fades over a relatively short time resulting in loss of data. Fades almost overnight if you cover w/clear tape! Confused. This minor problem was solved by making a copy of the tape before attaching to loading sheet.

hm
