Like 286s, have been curious about the Woodleighs in that weight. Never have gotten around to trying them out. Just wondering if anybody here had, what kind of results. Yea or nea, accurate or not.. Anybody try em on black bear or deer? Generally run a fairly standard, mostly Varget, occasional RL 15, somewhere around or just below 2400 fps kinda load...

The Woodleighs are well tested and proven bullets. I have used the 320 gr in my Simson and they shoot 6" below the 286gr & they clock 2200 fps. Varget is definitely the powder of choice (AR2208 here in NZ). I have a lot of old loads and articles, bullet tests etc. PM me your email & I'll share it. You can also serach on this forum & you will find a lot of info on the 9.3X62 round. BTW what is your rifle? "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

I took a 9.3x62 to South Africa a couple of years ago. I could not be more pleased with how the Woodleighs preformed on the animals I took. I used RL15 in conjunction with the Woodleighs. NRA CRPA DRSS

I have killed several amimals with the 286gr Woodleigh Soft in a 9,3x74R double rifle including deer, pigs, black bear, several zebras, other African plains game and a cape buff [with one shot]. It is an excellent bullet. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Have a mate that uses the 286gn Woodleigh PPSP & the 286 RN with very effective results. All recovered pills look virtually identical so they're certainly consistent in how they perform.
