I am trying to buy a 1968 model M70 270 WCF topped with a Weaver K4 (El Paso mfg.) in Weaver rings and base out of the estate of a friend's wife. I want to be fair to the family, but I don't want to pay too much either. The gun is in honest 90+% condition and truly has not been fired over 50 times.

Would I be out of line if I offered $400? There are some similar on Gunbroker that are bringing $350.

Thanks!

IMHO, for a push feed Model 70 in .270 WCF with a period Weaver scope, that's more than fair, even in the context of a friend's wife's estate sale.

Thanks for the reply. My Dad talked to our friend this afternoon, and he would only take $300 from me. I own it.
