Last Friday when I was getting ready for a hunt on saturday, I picked up a box of Winchester 220 gr silvertips I had bought last year for my 300 WM. When I pulled one round out of the box I noticed there was a crack in the neck of the case all the way to the shoulder. The bullet was loose and could be removed by hand with no effort. After checking all the rounds I found two more with the same defect. I took Norma ammo instead and left this box home. Has anyone ever seen this kind of defect on factory ammo ? Is it safe to use the remaining ammo from this box? What do you think might have caused this ? I would really like to hear from you. Cheers, N. Rodrigues | ||
