It seems that this bullet is what I'm looking for in an elk and black bear load in my .300 Winnie. How accurate has this bullet been in your rifles? I have not yet tried it in mine. Thanks.

Seamus - The Failsafe has developed a great reputation in regards to terminal performance. However, it is a composite bullet with many parts. This makes manufacturing consistency problematic and accuracy can suffer. I have hand loaded Failsafes in 7mm and .338. In my experience, accuracy was not impressive. Accordingly, I switched to the non-coated Partition Golds with great accuracy results and impressive field results. Remember - due to the heavery jacket, there is less lead making the bullet longer. This can pose case capacity issues (powder compression) with slower powders in the .300WinMag.
