Thanks for the repl.gents. Seafire: Found the 3x9x40 MD Bushnell on there web.but can't find no Can supl. that stocks them. Derf: Found the SIR 5x15x40 AO MD for $230 Can. this may be the solution, however it's 18" long (3" longer than the S&B) Steve: I have 2.5x10x56 S&B on my 340 and a 1.5x6 Swarovski on a 375 and they are the best however the wife would kill me. T3: Found the Graft site it had a Can. dealer listed I contacted him and he is going to check out the Sightron scopes. He also carry's Wipe out so looking good. So it looks like the 5x15x40AO MD from Bushnell or a 3x9x42 from Sightron if I can get it. The Bushnellrice is right,15 power is more than needed, service is there ,it's a 18" long varmint scope. how will it hold up on a 300. Past exp.with Bushnell not to great. Sightron: Maybe more scope for the money but how about serv? Regards Martin

Got this new 300WM,out hunting ,almost dark, a Elk it looked like 300 Y,no time for the range finder. The gun has a M1 long range Leupold with mil dot on it ,the Elk is smaller then 2 Mills this tells me over 350 Y. Not sure about the horns (6 point zone)let him go. 1) The M1 Leupold with it,s tall target turrets and side OA is a pain to carry. 2) Mill dots are nice. 3) More light would be nice (50mm obj) My 340 carry's a 2.5 x 10 X 56 S&B this would do for the light but does not have a mill dot. 338/378 has a 4x16x50 Black Diam. with bal.mill dot this would do but the scope is the size of a world war 2 torpedo. I just bought the gun and I don't dare to tell my better half that I need a other $1000. scope, so I am looking: Tasco 2.5x10x42 MD $109 Can.!!! this on a 300WM ?????? Bushnell 10x40 MD, a staight 10??? etc.etc. Here I find Sightron I hear good reports and 3x9x42MD $299 US just what I need. Found a dealer but he can't get the MD rect. it seems it can't be imported because MD scopes are tactial equipment. Phoned Bearbasin, same story. The Sightron scopes are US made and that is the problem, any scope from Japan or China can be imported no problemo. Does n't that frost your b. Martin
