| I have one in .30-378. It's too light a contour for me. I'd order a custom from Weatherby. 28" #5 contour single cut from Kreiger via Weatherby with the TR stock and their upgraded action work. Not that expensive and much better than off the rack Accumark. Maybe a Zeiss 6-24 x 72mm too ![Cool](https://forums.accuratereloading.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif) |

| I have two of the accumark 338-378 weatherbys.I love these Rifles.I only handload because of high ammo cost.I have shot .25" groups at 100 yards and under an inch at 300 yards. Its an awesome gun.I have a 6.5x18 power nikon on one and a 5.5x16 power Nikon on the onther. It kicks like a 270 with the brake on it.It is loud as heck though. Its the finest long range rifle for under $5000.You have to clean the barrel every 60 shots or it will shoot like a shotgun.I shoot 250 gr Nosler partitions out of mine.I bought some 416 weatherby brass and necked it down.It hits like a mack truck. We shot some caribou at 450 yards and my hunting buddy killed two with one shot.I find myself using this gun more than any other gun for game thats 300 yartds or more in the wide open.I have shot the serria 300 grain match king bullets but have not shot game with it.If you go on longrangehunting.com they shoot game way further than you would ever think of shooting with the 338-378 .I think this rifle if the best long range rifle under 10 pounds and under $5000 bar none.I lucked up and bought both of mine for $1000 each.My rifles love reloader 25 powder and federal 215 mag primers.I have a favorite load of 109 grs of reloader 25 federal primers and the 250 gr Nosler partiton. If you go to realguuns.com he has alot of loads for it also but becarful some were too hot for my gun.You will not regret buying one of these rifles. If you watch gunsamerica.com you can pick one up for $1200 . |

| I have the Accumark 338-378... It is simply a blast to shoot this rifle... Yes, the factory ammo is expensive as the cheapest I've seen the 225 grain TSX is $84.50 a box... I've got a good collection of brass and some fresh factory ammo so I'll be reloading for it soon... The brake does make it a pussycat to shoot... As to the noise, the folks next to me at the range don't seem to mind ( I have asked more then once ).. It makes a good THUMP but inside my muffs it's a non issue in any way... Pick one up, you'll love it ![Big Grin](https://forums.accuratereloading.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) ... Ken....

| Mine shot the 210 TXSs at 3450 fps and averaged 3/4" for three. Turned out to be a little more than you really need for Mulies, but worked very well. |
