Pick this BSA built on a P17 action today; it's 270 win. The rifle is in great shape I hope it's a shooter, got to pick up a set of dies now and dig up my old 270 loading data. Hope to get to the range with it soon, if the snow not to deep.

Looking for a little info on the rifle. I know the rifle has left hand twist rifling, and barrel is 24". I'm not sure of the rate of twist, with a little work I'll find out what it will like for bullets. I know BSA used a lot of these action after the second war along with the Lee Enfields as well. The action indicates it's a remington contract, it has "R" stamped on most of the reciever parts with some British Proof as well. The rifle weights 8.5 lbs and has a walnut stock. I have 458win built on a P14 now which was a remington contract reciever as well, I'm kinda fond of the P14 and 17 actions.Any other info on it would be of intrest.
Thanks Bil
