The choice for Mausers was easy for me, but this one has got me torn a bit. Its just a 1903/30-06 and its time to decide what style stock its going to wear. Ive looked at everything from the same classic mauser style to a Monte Carlo and am still scratching my head. Any suggestions appreciated, pics are greatly appreciated.

I put a Wenig stock on mine. It has a slight buldge on the grip for right-handers that feels good.

JLHEARD Really nice looking rifle but does it have a Monte Carlo or is it straight? What's the fore end shape? Any fore end tip? Cheek piece? I really like what I can see of it but you really shouldn't tease us like that Rich Elliott

Sorry about that. Here is a wider shot (the other rifle is my .300 H&H) And a left-handed shot (the other rifle is my dad's .338. His is a FN-Mauser and Boyd's stock w/ ebony tip)

I have just landed a Springfield. It has a 1950-s vintage Bishop or Fajen stock on it. Bought a Mauser 1930s commerical vintage at the same time from an estate sale. ONe has a Bishop and the other a Fajen. The stocks have seen a lot of wear and tear, from hunting over the years. I am going to rebarrel the Springfield, and get it reblued. For a stock tho, I am going with a Boyd's Gray Laminate, no questions asked. I finish them with a matt finish. Now I am just torn between the caliber I am going to rebarrel it to. Either a 6mm Rem, or a 6.5 x 57. Cheers and Good shooting seafire
