I have heard some of the new SAKO's, especially the short mags do not come with a key lock concept. anyone heard that? also there is a company in the USA called accuflite that says they have original sako parts and they will switch the key concept back to the old design. Does know about that???

Yes it appears they are dropping it since all the pictures of new rifles don't have it nor is it mentioned in advertising. Accuflite sells the shroud and firing pin for 149 dollars which sounds like a bit much for these parts. If there was a problem with the keylock and I doubt it but if there was I would hope they issue a recall or send replacement parts. I personally won't buy another Sako with this system in place.

my email from SAKO regarding the key concept: Yes. Marketing has decided not to offer the Key Consept as standard. However, it will be awailable as a kit. Thus, in case you want to get it, you can purchase the kit(new firing pin, new firing pin spring quide, & New schroud with the lock).By this year the opposite has been possible, you could have purchased the kit with normal scroud and firing pin.

Gentlemen I would never pay to get something soo silly as the key concept Is there a member who actually would pay extra for this feature Cheers / JOHAN

Johan, you had no choice previously when they introduced them. They came standard with it. What irks me is if I want the conventional bolt shroud it costs 149 dollars to change over. I have a SS 75 that I wish did not have this feature. I don't know who would pay additional for this I seriously doubt anyone would. I would love nothing more then to send the shroud and firing pin back to Sako and get a conventional one but I never got a response to the Email I sent them concerning that.
