Hey guys, Got my 7mm mag all together and working, even seems like it is sighted in, when I did my part it shot under 2", which is enough for a hunting rifle. probably will do better than that when I get good. :-) I was figuring on loading it with 175's, sinc I have all the lower bullet weights covered. why use all that case and shoot little bullets? Anybody got good loads with 175's for the 7mm? I havve some 4831 in the cabinet already I think, for the Norma. thanks ahead of time!!! Red

Dagored, I swear by IMR 7828 with the 175 gr. Nosler partition. In my rifle, I load up to 66 gr. for a MV of around 2950-3000 fps. I have also used Reloader 22 and 25, and while both worked excellently, I just have confidence in my IMR 7828 load. Check out our 7mm website for more loads

the 4831 should work well. If not, try some 4350 (H or IMR) if you have it.

I like RL22 with 175's for 2901 fps, .680 accuracy.

175 Hornady Interlocks with 68 grs. H-1000 or same bullet with 66.0 grs. IMR-7828 produces sub MOA accuracy and around 2950 fps at the muzzle. These are with Remington brass and Federal magnum primers. Same loads with Winchester brass gives about the same accuracy but slower by 50 -70 fps. As always, work up from below and experiment with OAL for best performance in your rifle. These loads are from a Browning A-bolt 26" bbl in 50 degree weather. This rifle really likes the 150 to 175 gr. bullets. FWIW...BLR7!

I agree with you on IMR4831. Most of my most accurate loads in various bullet weights are with it. Unfortunately I do not shoot any 175gr. bullets though. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal

My 7mmRemMag.would not shoot with H4831.The best I could do was 3 inch groups.Tried IMR4350,and it was instant sucess.Groups shrank down to less than 1 inch.Ive had this gun 40 yrs. now and it still shoots good groups.

I use H4831 and H1000 on all my loads for my 7mm and accurate is what it is.

I also like RL22 & IMR7828 under a 160-175gr bullets. Vel. will suffer a bit if you drop down to 4831 & save the various 4350s for 150gr & lighter bullets. For heavier bullets, slower powders are going to give you max. load density (better accuracy) & higher vel.

I have had great results w/ H4831 and light bullets (140-150) but like mentioned it is kind of slow w/ the heavier bullets. R22 works great w/ the light bullets and the heavy bullets too. H4831 69 grns w/ 140 NBTs = 3210 fps and 1" hundred yard groups. R22 @ 66 grns w/ 160-162 grners = 3100 fps and accuracy was .7s for the 162 (Hdy BTSPIL) and .5s for the 160s (Sierra BTSP) Good Luck!
