I'd like to get folks opinions on the best overall brass for the 8x68s. I just got a 8x68s barrel for a Mauser M03 I picked up (good price). Accuracy and high pressure suitability are my main criteria. "Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid" -- Ronald Reagan "Ignorance of The People gives strength to totalitarians." It's a nit-picking issue, IMO. Consider it a matter of luck that Huntington's carries both brands, and at about the same price. My advice is to pick one (or both) and stock up, because availability may change again. It will never be a popular cartridge in the US. Not even as popular as the 325 WSM, so get brass when and where you can. Oddly enough both Hurtenberger, RWS and Norma brass all come off the same production line... There isn't that much demand pick your favourite headstamp....

Is the 8X68 similar dimentions to the 10.75X68 or are they totally differnt? Can I form 10.75 cases from the 8X68? "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

Not sure you could swage down the 0.524" dia case head of the 8x68 to 0.495" of the 10.75. You might be able to turn in on a lathe. Ken Howell says, in the Custom Cartriges book, form 10.75 Mauser cases by turning the belt off .375 H&H cases. Methinks the H+H cases are easier to find and probably cheaper too.
