Bought this a while ago but haven't shot it for last few years because my range had a ban on calibers over 7mm due to a pending lawsuit. That was lifted this year so I was able to get a little range time. I also just received the McMillan which I ordered in March. I hope to finally blood it this year.

It's a Ruger 338 Federal. I'm using 185 TTSX behind 48 grains of 2230 which is good for 2800 fps. It's wearing a VX3 1.5x5 with a German #4.

Very cool. I would love to have nearly the exact gun!

I see you are using aftermarket rings which appear to clamp onto the Ruger scallop cuts. Talleys, or...? Do they have some specific advantage over the Ruger factory rings?

Nice gun.

They are Warne. Nothing wrong with Ruger rings. If I remember correctly, I couldn't find my factor rings.
