The seller has listed it as Benelli R-1

Looks to me like a CZ-550 Safari with an aftermarket three position safety.

I agree. That's what it looks like to me.

The linked picture is from AHR's website:

http://www.hunting-rifles.com/S550DGR.htm

It is a modified CZ-550.

Charles Helm,

Thank you for the link. I wonder if someone could mail Gunsamerica and warn them that this is probably a fraud of some sort?

I tried sending them feedback but they accept it only from members. I wonder if any of the members here are members there as well and could alert them about this.

Sad, but there are troublemakers everywhere...

I would imagine it was just a clerical error of some sort. Doubt that it's fraud, because anyone that knows guns is going to look at it and know that it's not an R1.

Regards,
Tom

I wasn't suggesting there was somthing underhanded going on, I just found it strange that the ad links to a picture on someone else's website of a different gun. I sent an email to the seller through the GunsAmerica form suggesting that there may be a mix up on the picture.

Too bad -- I think we'd love an AHR that nice looking for $800.

I know it is bad form to reply to yourself, but after looking at the seller's other listings on GA I think he tries to find a picture on the internet of the gun he is selling and link to it. If you look at the listings on his GA store link and pull up the properties for the pictures you can see what I mean. I think since they appear to be new guns he is selling he is just trying to let people see what the model looks like. R-1 is in the name of the picture file on the AHR website, so maybe he searched for an R-1 rifle picture and that is what came up.

I think that picture is NOT a Benelli rifle. I just looked at the benelli website, and their ONLY rifle is that "Argo-3" thing, which is a semiauto bearing no resemblance at all to the nice-looking DGR on that Guns America listing! It looks more like the Benelli shotguns.

Mehul- I looked at that picture and it sure looks like a 500 AHR. The Cz-500 action with three position safety, barrel band ramp and stock design are the hallmark of AHR.-Rob

If you read my post above you will see that the picture is on AHR's website. It is one of their 550-based DGRs. I emailed the seller but have not heard back.
