I picked up a ruger American 300 blackout - the longer length of pull ranch model.

Put a Burris mtac and a silencerco harvester.

The gun shoots great for a $400 gun. It's cheap, plasticky, has a gimmick trigger and is a blast to shoot.

Shooting $1 suppressed ammo can get expensive but it's quieter than an air gun.

Well worth the $400.

Is there an exit on the soda can? Roll Eyes

I've always thought it would make a great impala type calibre with 150 or 168gr.

Yes

But at 65 yards it does not destroy the can.

Its a really quite 45 cal at 65 yards. Can cause some serious damage to human type body structure.

I just think it is a blast to shoot. Expensive too at $1 a round but worth it.

My dream is blaser makes a 300 blackout barrel. A suppressed blaser r-8 would be the perfect gun for 300 blackout.

A fun gun to shoot is a fun gun to shoot !!
Several friends shoot the 300 B.O. . Lehigh makes some pretty cool pills for it. One friend shoots 220ish gr cast thru his . Lots cheaper than a buck a round.
When they want they are loading 130s up to 30/30 Winchester velocities. Using them for caribou hunting.

Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

I think it is cool. In fact I troed to see if they have them here in SA. Seems not amd pricing will probably be crazy.

Blaser custom barrels are apparently offered by a few sources but I have no personal experience. I can try to get details if required as I recall someone I know had one on order somewhere.

This gun deserves a better scope than the Burris Mtac for true accuracy potential.

Burris has a 3 Moa dot - great ar and plinking scope.

This may be the most fun gun I own.

Words of a true 'rifleman' right there. Plastic or no plastic. Add an older Vari-X II and be happy.

Mike, good group on the target. Now move back to 20 yards :-)

PS: I have a contact for non-standard Blaser barrels.

Funny. rotflmo

Suppressed is what the Blackout was really developed for. It's a knock-off of the .300 Whisper developed in the early 1990s by J.D. Jones.

Well Biebs at least I did not use your suggestion and bring out the punch hole dancing

Why would anyone get a blaser and shoot a non blaser barrel in it. I want a blaser 300 blackout.
