I just picked up a used Kimber 8400 in 300 WSM. Need to reload and wondered if any of you had one and ran into any problems. Read somewhere that seating depth was not critical with the WSM's because of a tight leade, true? Use Magnum primers or just Large Rifle primers? Bullets on the shelf in .308: TSX in 168, 180, & 200 Partitions in 165 & 200 Accubonds in 180 & 200 Ballistic Tips in 165 Fail Safes in 150 & 180 Scirrocco in 180 Powders: IMR4350, IMR4831, IMR 7828 H4831SC RL19, RL22, & RL25 Thinking about the TSX 180 gr with 68 gr RL22 Federal 215M primers in Norma brass The same load using IMR4831 at 66.5 gr The same loads with the Accubond 180 gr And maybe one load using the 168 gr TSX with 65 gr IMR 4350. I usually take the distance to the lands using the Stoney Point and Reeves Tool. Any problems finding the start of the lands on these rifles? No break-in since it is a used gun. I've been loading 67grs. RE22 with 180NBTs and Interbonds, WLR primers, Win. brass. Seating them to 2.840-60", which is about the length of most magazines are for the 300WSM, at least in Brownings anyway. This load has been pretty accurate from my experience, shoulder will atest to that. Jay

If you can find it, give Ramshot Hunter a try. My Browning BAR 300WSM and my Rem 700 30-06 like Hunter so well I bought 16 lbs. Should last for a while.
