Just picked one of these up. Would like to get some favorite loads from anyone willing to share same...

Appears Wilson does not make a trimmer holder for this case? Have looked around and cannot find anyone who carries it...Guess I'll have to send them a case?

Here is the info on a load I am taking to Namibia next month. My Ruger #1 in 9.3 X 74R is shooting 1" groups with the following:
Norma brass, Fed. 210 primer, 57 grains of IMR 4064 behind a Barnes 250 gr. XXX. The 250 Barnes solids loaded with the same menu shoot same POI. I also get good results out of this rifle with 286gr. Privi's, Nosler Partitions, Barnes XXX and Barnes solids. No chrono results, just good accuracy. Hope this helps.

I used 56 grs. of RL-15 for everything between 270 gr. Speers and 320 gr. Woodleighs.

You shouuld start lower and use a chronograph. Higher than "nominal" velocities means higher than necessary pressure, and probably higher than maximum pressures.

Here are "nominal" velocities:

Wt. Vel
270 2500
286 2430
300 2370
320 2300

Most of my loads were typically somewhat slower than it's "nominal" velocity, at 80 F.

I don;t shoot a 9.3 but do have a wildcat 338x74K based on the 9.3 case. I can only suggest you get hold of some RWS brass. It is much thicker in the web area & lasts show no signs of head sep. after 5 firings. The Norma brass I was using would show head sep after 5 firings & gets tossed. I love the #1, good luck with yours. thumb
