I have a Mk II .338 Stainless and a Tang Safety .30/06. I need a spare scope for my .30/06 for a trip in July. Can I move the scope and rings from the Mk II to the Tang Safety without moving the scope rings on the scope? In other words, is ring spacing exactly the same? I would, of course, need to sight in the moved scope on the .30/06. Thank you .............................................

If you have them both, why don't you just try it and see? Jon Larsson - Hunter - Shooter - Reloader - Mostly in that order...

I bought a 77 MKII Allweather in 270WSM. For a spare scope on an elk hunt I used the scope and rings off my tang safety 77 in 22-250. The rifles are about 30 years apart. Yes, the spacing is the same, at least on the same length actions. If you can't have fun, what good is life? Were liberals born that stupid or did they work at it?
