i just took my newly aquired 338 RUM out today for a test drive. what a thrill!!! the guy i bought the rifle from fired it once and sold it. included was scope, high/medium mounts, reloading dies and 19 rounds of federal partition ammo i'm thinking the rifle must have kick the crap outta him so he decided to sell it. back to the test drive. i'm on the bench holding the rifle like my life depended on it. i adjusted the trigger to ~2.5# so when i squeezed the trigger, it would fire without too much effort. i'm concentrating on breathing and squeezing when BAMMM!!! it did kick, but it wasn't bad. i proceeded to shoot 30 near max loads breaking in the barrel. if you reload, get the 338 RUM otherwise, stick to the 338 WM
