Friends do NOT let friends buy anything PROMAG.
Crap is too kind a word to describe the quality of PROMAG.
Buy factory ruger mags. CDNN sports has some good buys on Ruger.

I have tried every non factory mag I could find in my mini-14 to no avail. The ONLY mags that work in MY mini-14 are stamped RUGER, don't waste your time & money on cheaper!

I bought a 10-round one that is not quite reliable loaded with 5 rounds. The spring is too strong for the bolt to strip the top round.

I have 2 mil surplus M16 20 rd mags. Drilled a hole in em and they work fine. Prefer the 5 rd factory mag though as the 20 rds are too heavy to carry and stick out to far, ie, snag on everything.
