With 160 grain Speer Mag tips I use 64.1 grains Reloder 22. There are no pressure signs, and it isn't a max load, but it is accurate. I also use CCI 250 primers. In my gun you go alot hotter, but the bullets BC prevents any small gains in speed making a big difference. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

If your loads never exhibited pressure signs in the past, I fail to see the problem. If it is your goal to stay within the guidelines of current reloading manuals, then by all means do so and follow their guidance to the letter. Some combination therein will give you what you want. FWIW, I believe you're on the right track using 160s as I firmly believe the 7m/m magnum is at its best with that bullet weight.

| I like RL22 or IMR7828 under 160grNP in my 7rm. I agree w/ buckshot though, if your current load is working w/o undo pressure signs, stay with it, every rifle is different.

Like Fred has already said IMR 7828 is very good with 160 gr bullets. I would also give RL 25 and H1000 a try as well.

I've had good luck with H-1000 Powder and 150-160 grain bullets. I've tried the others IMR 7828 and RL-22, which were ok but the H-1000 is the best in my gun (7mm Rem Mag - Weatherby Eurosport).

I am getting an honest 3100 fps in my rifle from 80 grains of H-870 behind the 160 grain Nosler Partition. It is a one inch load day in and day out. Its pretty much the only load I use in the 7mm. My rifle is nickled inside and out so it may have a little more lubricity in the barrel than most. I have noticed it takes more powder to get the velocities that it should, but pressure signs are OK.
