Somehow the magazine door release button fell out of my 300 win mag Sako AV during hunting season and I can't locate a replacement button or trigger guard ---does anyone have a clue where I might get either---chris

Jim Lutes in Kansas or Accuflite in Pennsylvania may be two of the better sources for Sako parts. You can surely find them on a web search.

thanks for the tips--Accuflite had nothing except they did have Jim Lutes phone #, so I just got off the phone with him--

seems my trigger guard/floor plate assembly is somewhat of a hermaphroditic 2 pc sum na biatch thing and they(SAKO) changed how the button is held in--he's never heard of one of these breaking and as far as he and I can tell there's no clear cut way to install a new spring or button and keep it in place---most have a pin that can be removed from the side, but there's no pin in this 2 pc setup---aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh

So, I need to buy a whole new assembly(not cheap-$225 used) or I solder or epoxy my floor plate shut or use electrical tape like we did when it happened or see if I or some gunsmith can get creative and adapt something to work--

any ideas and I'm all ears---chris
