They just sold his saber at auction.......... And I have my gg grandfather's saber on the wall, looking at it right now. He commanded the 15th Tennesee Cavalry, CSA and was killed in the approach to battle for Spring Hill and Franklin. Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!! Blair.

I got a bunch of the 168-grain TTSX's loaded up and ready to go to the range. Just waiting on the rifle to get finished.

The non lead bullets are too expensive. I load thousands of rounds a year. Such a bullet would raise my cost to over a dollar a shot! A dollar a shot???? There is more than one right answer to a optimum bullet. If the cost goes down then of course I am interested.

The primary reason of course is that I like it. I live in CT USA and its a heavily populated state with some hunting but not much to shoot at. In other words if I go woodchuck hunting I am likely to see nothing and get no shots. The short crow season might be open. Same if I drive to New York or Vermont. So when I am in the mood to shoot I go to the range and its only a 20 minute ride for me. There I can shoot all I want. Thus a hobby of owning more guns than I need for hunting and target shooting has evolved. I am working on extra guns just to get them going for the challenge. When I go to the range I take four rifles and shoot each of them a few shots and take up another and shoot that cold barrel. Does that answer your question? Copper bullets would cut into my extra spending money. We burn up 3000 gallons of fuel every year and its gone up from $0.89 a gallon to $3.15. Its the money. At 3000 shots per year it would cost me about $1500 more. I was going to try the new TTSX but I changed my mind for now. Why are you that interested in the new copper and copper alloy bullets? Typical day at the range. Fussing with a scope. You can see the other rifles on the bench.
