Anyone own / shoot a 7x66 Super Express vom Hofe ?

Looking at a Mauser 66 in this nearly forgotten caliber. Key would be reloading dies and data.

Cartridges of the world had data last copy I had. I used one a friend had, hmm, has to be close to 40 years back now. Good cartridge. - dan

Charles, if the RWS reloading book isn't available any more and you need to see the data let me know. I will take photos of those pages and email them to you.

If you have no luck sourcing dies and components in the US, dropping a line to one of tge Ferlach gunmakers in Austria as still make the odd 7x66.

Just looked at Charlie 64 - South Africa and Europe so suggest easier to find ammo and dies got 7x66.

The Mauser 66 was a switch barrel, so you might find another barrel for it.

Try this site, found it's pretty good for euro data, think it's 10.00us to see the chg wts, if they have the info you want there. I grabbed newer data for my 30R Blaser, was well worth it to me.

I had forgotten about this humdinger of a cartridge. Makes me think I might like to build one. Dies and stuff can be found I'm sure. Good luck with yours.
