Just got a new 25/06 the book says the Col for this nosler85 gn should be 3.250 I put a bullet in a empty case and chambered it then measured it it is 3.219 is this a problem or just back it up 0.010. I shot some factory loads yesterday and they did ok

it's not a problem. just seat it shorter and work the loads from there. i had two ruger 25-06's that needed different oal's. i got rid of one of them when i finally got my custom 25-06 from the smith. no worries. now i can't chamber brass from one to the other. and the custom has a slower twist so there's no way i am gonna get the two rounds mixed up. since i shoot 120's in the ruger, and the custom is built around 95-100 gr bullets.

I only load for 6 rifles all of them but the new one can take a longer round if I had just loaded them to the book lenght they would not have fit. I was concerned that it might have been a problem with the rifle. Thanks for your reply
