I have a chance to pick up a CDL in 7mm ultra mag or a Accumark in .300 Weatherby. I have a Classic in .300 Weatherby already and was wondering which one would you get from an accuracy standpoint. Thank you for your replies. PaLuke

Are they both priced the same? If you can buy the Accumark for the same price as the cdl thats a plus.
The accumark will have a 26" barrel. Don't know about the cdl. It may be 24".
The trigger on the remington will be self adujustable. Not so on the accumark.
The accumark has synthetic stock and barrel. The cdl is blue steel and wood. How, what for, and under what circumstances will you be using the rifle?
Do you reload? Both cartridges will be expensive to purchase ammo off the shelf. I would think weatherby ammo would be somewhat more expensive than 7rum
As to accuracy, what ranges will you be shooting at. At 300 yds or under either rifle should do fine.
Can you afford to buy them both? That is the easist solution.

Thank you for the reply. The Accumark is used but in very good condition and is selling for $850. I'm pretty sure the CDL's are around the same. I do reload and I read the 7MM can be finicky. We go out west every other year and I use a 25-06 for deer and antelope and a .338 Win mag when we go for elk. Never shot a elk but got antelope and deer. I never shot past 350 at game but enjoy target shooting. I have a Classic in .300 Weatherby that at best is a 1.5" gun at 100 yards. I really like the .300 and was just wondering if the Remington in 7MM ultra mag might be a better choice. Thanks for the reply

An Accumark for $850 is a steal in good condition, and the factory trigger should be adjustable. They're really nice guns. So is the CDL, mybe not quite the same fit-and-finish, but I couldn't honestly ever see myself take a 7mm RUM over a .300 WBY for any reason.

I'm with mikeyb. An accumark at $850 is a good deal. I have an accumark in 257 weatherby. I recently sold my 240 weatherby accumark. Both are/were fine shooters. If you were to pay $800 to $850 for the rem cdl, when and if you decide to sell it, it will probably bring $550 to $650. You can probably sell the Weatherby for what you have in it.
If it came down to a choice, I think I would go with the 300 wby. in the accumark.
