My son, grandson and I have used the 225 grain and 240 grain Northforks with my .340 Wby and .338 Lapua with excellent results on Elk. Always the perfect mushroom and accuracy is pinpoint. Good shooting.

I have used Northforks in my .338,375, 404, 416 Rem. and some others. They are a boring bullet for a bullet digger like myself, they everyone look exactly alike, a perfect mushroom, I have a bunch of recovered North Fork bullets. All of mine were when Mike owned the company. In fact I believe I'm the first person to test North Forks in Africa. then at Mikes request I filled out questionaires and returned all my recovered bullets to him. He cleaned them photographed them and returned them to me.
I have not shot them since the sale of the company as Mike was kind enough to give me more than a few boxes for most of my guns.. I doubt that the new company made any changes in the bullets, why fix something that ain't broke..

The soft points are extremely accurate bullets, kill very well, and penetrate exceptionally well..

I believe the cup points by North Fork are way ahead of their time, they penetrate like a solid and kill like a soft point..that's a hard combination to beat. They are one of my favorite bullets in any caliber usable for Cape Buffalo and Hippo. They are excellent on PG in the larger bores. Smaller bores? don't know, but I would opt the soft points anyway on PG.

I have only used the flat point solids on Cape buffalo and some plains game for the pot..They, of course, worked exceptionally well in both, the 9.3x62 and the 404 and 416 calibers..I did not get the opertunity to use the North Forks on elephant.

Another bullet of equal quality is the GS Customs bullets out of So. Africa and they are being distributed in the USA by the owners daughter and son in law..Great bullets for any game..I love them in my .338 Win. and like most monolithics they can work with lighter weight bullets and get additional velocity and that a good thing for cross canyon shots at elk here in Idaho..200 to 250 gr. all work fine.
