I cannot understand why some of the main manufacturers don't chamber it. I also think Weatherby should put out a Vanguard in this caliber, so all the ammo makers would start making the ammo. Basically, it shouldn't cost much more than .30/'06 ammo with the same kinds of bullets.

I do hope you are right.

I have a .338-06 and use 30-06 brass. Head stamped brass would remove some of the worry of living in an increasingly bureacratic / restrictive, Old England.

With nasty rumours the UK government wants to ban reloading, I do hope Federal starts loading this round. Federal is obtainable in the UK. Weatherby is either difficult or impossible to find.

At least it's not as expensive than Weatherby .338-06 ammo. I have noticed that a few small companies are reloading .338-06 ammo. I found a few in the Internet, but their prices were still high.

Both Federal and Nosler will be reloading ammo for the .338-06 and the .35 Whelen.

Norma lists 338-06 brass. It's cheaper than Weatherby or A-SQUARE.

Weatherby is going to chamber this round in a superlight. Just have to work through some bugs.
