I just haven't taken a pix of mine yet.
Mine weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces as received. Barrel is fully free floating too. And the balance is superb.
Gotta brew up some loads later today. The scope bases came today in the mail, so I'm hot to go shoot it as soon as I mount a scope and throw some loads together. Prepped 50 cases last week.

for one of my favorite hunting rifles, I have a featherweight that is late 1980s or early 1990s production.. chambered in a long action 7 x 57 tho... I love that rifle...

just wish I had a twin in it in 257 Roberts..
I have another that I put a custom 26 inch barrel on, chambered in 6.5 x 55...

and also a kinda rare, 223 featherweight...

I love featherweights in Model 70s...

Amen on the twin in 257 Roberts. THAT would be an awesome combo.
I spent the enitire day yesterday working on the 7-08, polishing the bore with JB, making up loads, and scope mounting. There's something special about the trigger on the new ones too. The break is about as good as it gets, no creep or overtravel. But, it's a little heavy on the pull. I'll have to adjust it down a little.
The more I handle the rifle, the more I love it. The balance is just perfect, and it comes up naturally. I would love having one like yours in 7x57 too.
This is my very first Model 70, and I'm ashamed to admit it as they are first rate rifles. One thing that impressed me is the glass bedding job they did at the recoil lug. The bedding job is FAR better than I can do. Don't really know how they did it as neatly as they did; it's a first rate job!

Sad that Winchester decided against including the 7x57 and 257 Roberts this time around with the new version Featherweight. Two great old cartridges that deserve to live on.
