.......IN 7MM BENCH REST!!!!! .....To compliment my XP-100, of course!!! Cool

With Remington buying the Zastava Mausers for re-release as Remingtons, I think Remington should offer a Rem 799 (Mini-Mauser) in 7MM Bench Rest!!! clap

If anyone else agrees, feel free to email Zastava Arms at zastavanp@ptt.yu and tell them to pass it along to Remington!!! thumb

I would consider selling my 7BR Rem model 7.

It shoots very well.

I don't know if the Zastava action can take anything larger than a 7.62x39 case head.

So you have a REM 708 heavy barrel AND a Rem Model seven?!? .......and I thought that I liked that caliber!!! animal

I'm becoming partial to the Mauser action, so maybe I shoud buy a 7.62x39 Mini??? Zastava's Mini-Mauser LOOKS better than CZs so I am leaning that way. If I get tired of the 7.62, I could always build a 6mm PPC! Big Grin Though I would do it with a 1-9 twist for heavy bullets instead of my current 1-14 twist for my match bullets. clap

Admit that "need" has nothing to do with it and you'll stop seeking emotional support for something you know you WANT.

I have one of the CZ 527 Carbines and a friend just bought one of the Minis in 7.62x39. The CZ feeds better, is more accurate and the triggers are not even in the same league.

Will take a lot of work to make this gun shoot to the point that my CZ did out of the box....
