I'd like to use my 9.3x62 as an all around gun and stick to one bullet weight for all game from light to heavy. Will the 286gr TSX do it all at 350yds and under?

I have taken the same decision but I have chosen the 250gr TSX.

Flatter trajectory and less recoil

Unless you live in Africa or in bear country I will recomend you the lighter bullets.

The Nosler 250gr AccuBond is a great longer range bullet for the 9,3X62 and 9,3X64... BC of .496 and you can get right at 2600 FPS with it in the 9,3X62.

I too chose the 250 grain Accubond for my CZ 550. Right now I'm working on a load that will get about 2300-2400 fps starting velocity. Any more speed than that starts to hurt my shoulder when shooting off the bench.

Still, sighted in 3"high at 100 yards will give me a 200 yard zero and will be 11" low at 300 yards. Should be just fine for elk here in Montana.

Looking forward to trying the new Hornady 286 grain bullet when they start selling it as a reloading component.

Is the 250gr Accubond tough enough or a glorified ballistic tip? I know the Accubond is bonded but i think i would steer toward the 250 TSX if going with that weight. I was thinking 286 gr. simply for the sectional density. If i wanted to shoot 250s i would use my 35 Whelen right? According to a recoil table i use the 286gr bullet gives you 4-5 ft/lbs. more recoil than 250gr. Noticeable but still under 35 lbs free recoil in the same weight rifle.

The .366 BT was actually a pretty tough bullet. Nosler built up the jackets on the bigger bore BTs. Also, they aren't generally moving at break neck speed either. It's good reputation is well documented.

The Accubond bullet should perform even better. With a BC of something like .494 it does very well compared to the round nose bullets down range. Although the Accubond is not made to retain 100% of it weight, more like 60-70%, it should be an excellent performer. The TSX is a great bullet in it's own right and is a great choice. Thankfully we are seeing more and more .366 bullets coming onto the market these days.
