Got one, love that gun. Few years ago Ma Bear suggested I quit droolin over one they had at the gun shop, and go get it! She also got me some reloading supplies for Christmas that year, which realy got that whole crazy obsession started..
If I had a dog, I probably would,nt be as emotionaly attached to that gun as I am. But I don,t have dog...
Easiest caliber in the world to reload for, not terribly fussy about what it likes, think yer gonna be a happy camper!..

I've had one for 6 years. It's a really nice rifle. I put Talley Quick Detachable rings on it and an older Leupold 4X scope, which has a longer tube and allows me to mount it farther back. I've been using 58gr/RL15/286gr Nosler Partition. It's accurate and has about the same recoil as a 30-06 with a 200gr load. Very pleasant to shoot.

I've got one.
Mine is one of the older ones with the 2 posision safety. You can buy a Win Mod. 70 style safety for it, but I never did.
I've put some realy heavy loads through it and it handled it like it was nothing.

I have absolutely no complaints at all.

Cheers, John

I have one as well. It's a lot of power in a small package. The gun is much lighter than the same rifle in 6.5. When both are mounted with scope, my 6.5 is 9 lbs, and my 9.3 is a comfortable 8.25 lbs. The rifle is 41" in overall length, weighs 8.25 with scope and packs a big punch. It's a great alternative to a long barreled heavy 30 or 338 cal magnum.

I have one in .308 win and it alway surprises me how accurate it is for having a full lenght stock. Shoots MOA with a lot of different loads.

I have one in 7x57. I will probably be buried with it. I love the set trigger!

I owned one in 270 Win.. Shot absolutely lights out, but the muzzle blast was too much for my liking with the short barrel. Down the road it went.

I think one in 9.3x62 would be very nice. Enjoy

I have shot one since 2005. I have one deer, one bear, one moose, and one buffalo (American bison) with this rifle. I think I started hunting more as a result of owning this rifle, and never having lost any game that I shot with it.

I shoot a variety of loads. I like the Nosler partition, 286 gr, 57.5 gr RL-15, load the best. In February, I will try the 250 gr. Woodleigh protected point with 61 gr. of RL-17 on hogs.

The RL-17 produces a big ball of orange muzzle flash, but I wanted to try the powder. Other than the muzzle flash, it shoots well.

I did not like the performance of the older 286 gr. Norma plastic point or the Speer 270 gr. bullets. They seem to come apart into pieces when I shot into test media. I shot the buffalo with the Speer because that was all that I could find at the time. The buffalo was a neck shot (because my guide said so). And I shot the deer with the Norma. I would rather shoot the premium bullets when hunting, and use my supply of Norma for practice. I got a quantity of older Norma bullets at a gun show at a good price.
