Just rec'd subject rifle, bought from TC1, and now that I have it, only regret is that I did not buy one much earlier in my life. It is a fine example of craftsmanship and quality from butt to muzzle and to say it is smooth in operation is certainly an understatement. I did fair amount of research on the rifles and negatives, to some, are the placement of the bolt handle, midway, strong spring resulting in harder than normal to open/cock, split rear rec'vr ring requiring non std. scope mounts, and they are not known to be match grade in the accuracy department. All of these negatives are far outwieghed by the excellent fit and finish, balance, classic full stock and it is definitely meant to take hunting. Looking at some old literature I see that one was offered in 458WinMag and being CRF and surefire feeding magazine, would make a fine bolt action DGR.(I feel my addiction kicking in again.) In closing, you can buy from TC1 w/ confidence for the rifle was more than he described and consider myself fortunate to have found this one. If you get the opportunity, check one out, believe you will be impressed and it is a shame that such bolt rifles are not being produced today. Merry Christmas Everyone!! martin | ||
