I have one of those same scope mounts, complete with a cute little Meopta scope, in extremely nice condition. I took it off the beater 21-H that I want to build a .338-06 on and tried it on my fairly minty 21-H-7x57. I would appreciate your (or someones) posting the instructions as to adjusting the windage and elevation on this. The scope has a serrated button at the rear of the top turret, which I assume has to do with adjustment in some plane or other and I'd guess that the mount is also involved.

The rifle shown by fla30-06, if in 9.3x62 would probably cause me to have heart failure, if I were to get it. Sad to say, though, I would want to glassbed it, matte finish the stock in epoxy based oil, install a Gentry 3-pos. safety, modify the irons and then, I would prefer to hunt B.C. with that to just about any rifle ever made, this with a simply pair of Leupy 4xs in Talleys.

Thhere are actually quite a few 21 &22 series rifles in Canada, but, many of the choicest ones have been sold to American collectors. Most of the remaining ones usually show evidence of long, hard use by practical outdoorsmen, so, I feel o.k. about stripping one for the superb action as long as the rebuild is of equal quality to the original.

I wish that CZ would re-introduce these two models, in all of their variations and with equal quality workmanship. I think that they are probably the finest production bolt action sporters ever made and I would gladly pay a premium price for one, I am sure that many of you agree.

I generally agree with you but this and several others are not my working rifles. I will shoot these for the fun of it as they are. Many of my older
rifles are modified and altered to my needs as well. My Winchester model 71 changed to 450 Alaskan is a case in point.

Alf,
Is this not a early 1948 CZ with the checkered/stipled front ring? The 21 and 22 I have seen in round top are a little different and all had a flag safety on the left side and were marked
ZBROJOVKA,narodni Podnik on the side the same as the double square bridge model??????? Also I would like to see a full length picture of the stock...I believe I sent you a photo of one of these guns sometime back and we decided it was a CZ...
Clear me up on this...
