I managed to get a super deal on a Remington CDL Boone & Crockett in 7mm-08 this weekend and since I shoot strictly 160gr Partitions in my 7mmRemMag, I need a new bullet for my newest addition. To get to the point...does anyone have experience with the Prvi Partizan bullets especially the 7mm 140grain bullet? My first thought is that they would be similar to Hornady Interlocks. Their only similarity is both are jacketed 139/140 grain bullets. Take this for what it's worth and I may be compairing apples to oranges but, I sectioned a Privi 140 grain round nose bullet from a 7x57. What I found was a very thin jacket, similar to a .30-30. It would probably be dynamite on broadside shots but, I wouldn't expect an exit. When I shot some through 1 gallon milk jugs filled with water, they had an explosive effect on the first 2 but, would not penetrate the third. Hornday IL and Remington CL all penetrated 3 jugs. | |||

Thanks Joe...I read reviews on MidwaysUSA that Prvi loaded ammo worked pretty well on deer but I too had concerns about jacket thickness. I think I'll stick with Internlocks or SST since I have firsthand experience with them. I'll probably still order a couple hundred for plinking since it is about 3/4 the cost of Hornady.
