The problem is that some people do reply to his posts, and did from the beginning, if NOBODY ever replied to him he would grow tired and stop. People like him need to get attention from others, due to whatever inadequacy in themselves. As soon as I saw a post by him I knew he was the type of person I would like to drown in a cesspool so I put him on ignore and am now only surprised that he is still around, showing that the group as a whole has not ignored him.
Since we don't want censorship maybe what we should do is come up with a thing that if say 15 different users put a person on ignore then automatically the whole group ignores him. Of course give an option for people to add them to their "don't ignore list". :-)

I've been trying hard to ignore the MORTIE posts since they started appearing, but they seem to pop up on every forum I attend. Sigh! Waste of space and good bandwith IMHO! I totally agree that replying to these posts is the least advisable option. - mike

I must admit that I looked at his first post in a "semi humorous" way, thinking it would be a onetime kind of thing. Since this sadly was not the case, he turned into the 2nd person to be put on my ignore list. I have no understanding for why anyone bothers to keep looking at his BS. It just keeps him going, the demented attention seeker that he is...
Ignore mode should be used by everyone for sickos like this guy/girl.
Hey Frank, I was just sitting here cruising this forum when I thought is it just me or is this MORTIE the most annoying SOB around. Thought maybe it was just me. Anyway fingnails on a chalk board is an understatement! First time funnie 2nd through 1000+ extremely getting on my nerves time. Say Frank maybe you could get some of the "cousins" from back in the old neighborhood to "take care of the problem".
Moderators please only let him post on the Humor forum!

Sorry to derail the thread, but would anybody be kind enough to explain what a "troll" is supposed to signify? Is it one (known, previous) user masquerading under another user name, or does it signify anything else?? Sorry to be thick, I guess I have not been around the Internet long enough to know of all the animals living here... - mike

A troll is just some moron who wants to cause trouble.
To ignore, click on the user name at the left and then select ignore this user at the bottom of it's profile. It works very well. One's blood pressure doesn't rise and one isn't moved to make inadvisable responses to the deaf.

I COULD get the problem "taken care of" by reaching out to one of the relatives........BUT then THAT opens a whole new can of worms. Why do you think I moved out here, gave myself the Polish name and started a new life? To get AWAY from the "Family".
