Anybody shooting the federal HE loads w/ 180 partitions, is the gain as advertised over the regular 180's

i have been shooting them for the last eleven years in my 06 ...180 gn nosler 2917 fps from a walther 24 inch barrel
from other guns they shot about 2860
in my 26 inch tube i was getting 2950

Impressive velocity from a standard '06 - 2917 fps. One can duplicate that velocity with Re25.

M98, if you don't believe me, read what GSSP has been able to do with the '06 AI (3050 fps with a 26" barrel). The AI is only a very mild improvement over the standard '06.

My 22" barrel spits 180s at 2825.....not too shabby and good enough for the girls I go out with.

The HE stuff IMO isn't actually better than a good handload.....but it's a fine round for factory stuff......that is if it's accurate in your rifle......and at times it isn't.....

Handloading is the way to shoot a 30-06!

That is my "hunting round" for everything that a 9.3 won't do. It is very accurate and very effective out of my old 700.
My son had a one shot kill on an elk with it and he was certainly pleased.
