A friend has just bought a used CZ537 in 30-06 for a bargin price. The stock needs re finishing and the trigger needs a little TLC but otherwise I am very impressed with the rifle.
It has a set trigger, a ventilated recoil pad and the wood to metal finish is very good although the wood is fairly plain. It groups "as is" right around 1" with 150grn federal classic ammo, while
the combination of a straight stock and the recoil pad means that felt recoil is less than my Sako .308.

Now can anybody tell me is this a current production rifle ie a variant of the 550 range or a older model? Can the "normal" trigger be adjusted or stoned to give a crisp 3.5lb pull without affecting the set trigger function?
What is the correct procedure for "unsetting" the trigger if no shot is taken? There is a little button on the side of the bolt shroud which seems to be for this, but I would like confirmation we are using it correctly...The unit is a single trigger which you push forward to set.

Many Thanks

Pete

To unset the trigger just remove the round from the chamber and leave the bolt open and just pull the trigger and the set feature will be disengaged. This is the only way I know how to disengage it. Hope this helps.
