OKay, I've looked at both and can't make up my mind...except that it'll be a .280Rem cause my old Mauser barrel is trash and I have dies, brass, and bullets for the .280. Besides, I like the caliber. On current production rifles, besides the usual stainless vs. blued argument and aesthetics of solid wood vs. laminated stocks, what can I expect to be different between these two? For example, Winchester (USRAC) M70 stainless rifes were button rifled and blued barrels were hammerforged. I'm looking for similar differences that could sway my decision...action smoothness, average accuracy, etc. Thanks! Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

I'd look at the Remington Model 700 Mountian rifle in .280Rem. My hunting buddy just got one and it's the SHIT! Very accurate gun.
