300 WM on its way back from AHR
Just received word that Wayne will be finishing up my CZ550 .300WM Upgrade #2 package this week and shipping back to me. Looking forward to shooting it.

Making final decisions on scopes now. I'm leaning towards a Z6 1.7-10x42, trying to decide illuminated or not.

Will do as soon as I get some time to take nice pictures. She arrived yesterday, I was able to take a quick look before putting her in the safe. Works been killing me lately.

Ended up mounting a spare Z3 3-9x36 with #4 reticle just to shoot her before the Z6 1.7-10x40 arrives (assuming I win it in our SCI chapter silent auction next month.....). Fit with room to spare. The rifle weighed in at 10.3lbs with a full mag, within 2 oz of my 375 on the same action with a Z6i 1-6EE. Definitely not a mountain rifle, but should be amazingly comfortable to shoot.

Z6 1.7-10x42 mounted in standard CZ steel rings 30mm rings (no height indicated on the CZ packaging?).

Loaded up some 165gr TTSX's over RL-22 (70, 72, 74gr) and Fed 215M's in Hornady brass for next weekend. Hoping they shoot as well as the 150gr Interlocks from last round.

Looks to be a lot of extra scope height

Is that bottom photo showing the action cocked? If so, what is the lock time of that action? Looks to be a looong travel.

It is higher than I anticipated, but those rings were what I had in the gun room in 30mm. Going to look into other available sets.

That is the action cocked. I've no idea what the lock time is, nor how I'd measure it. Thusfar, I've had no issues with accuracy with either this nor a matching 375 H&H Wayne upgraded.
