I've shot the 285 alaskas and plastic points and they have been as accurate as i can hold them....about 1.0-2.0 at 100.....the Nosler 250 and 286 are some what shall we say more enthusiastic....1.5-3.0 at the same range.....i do not have a chrony and i do not reload so i can't tell exactly whst's up....but it seems the noslers have more pop....are the Normas going that much slower than the noslers or what? Has anyone ever chrony'd the norma loads 232,250 or285?...All normas loads in both the 6.5x55 and 9.3x62 are accurate and repeatable but how fast are they going? ........any experience or estimation would be welcome on this matter......thamks in advance......bearit.......

Been a long time fan of Norma ammo and am particularly fond of their Oryx bullets for lion at the moment. Norma 285/6grn ammo all leaves my 24" barrel at 2370-2400fps. Right as advertised. I do know that Norma loads alot of Nosler Ammo to their specification - same as Weatherby ammo is all made by Norma. In part, the difference may be betwen CIP and SAAMI spec for the two loads. Euopean ammo must conform to CIP methods of measuring pressure and force lower limits than the US does (even for the same "nominal" pressure) Nosler can specify what powder and pressures they want. Any diference in accuracy is entirely due to bullet and or powder. The case, primer and loading machine are the same for Nosler brand and Norma brand Ammo.
