I am considering purchasing one and would like to know how accurate they really are. I had a blast shooting my 1941 mosin. 200 yards at 9 inch steel plate with 4x was a blast It lacks in accuracy even thought with military surpluss it did better than I ever could have hoped. I like the round and would like to have something accurate for long range (300-700 yards. Beford I buy I would like to know who else had experience with m28-76 and what mods have you guys done. Abe Lincoln may have freed all men, but Sam Colt made them equal.

Ultra: Can't tell you about an M28, but will say the Sako-barrelled M39 I had was the most accurate military rifle I ever owned, and that includes some minty Swede M96s. You might ask over at gunboards.com. Lots more Finn and Mosin guys there. Good luck. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I no longer have one but the one I owned was quite accurate. And that with run of the mill milsurp ammo. I currently have an M39, and for a military rifle it's "dead nuts" accurate, also with milsurp ammo. Excellent site on the Finnish Nagants: http://www.mosinnagant.net/fin...fle-introduction.asp
