I just traded for a MS M1952 carbine in 30-06. What a great felling rifle! Two quick questions.

1: It has a folding leaf sight. what were/are these calibrated for? One is marked 300.

2: Second stupid question...The markning on the receiver indicate it is a M1950. I do not see any markings indicating it is a M1952. Serial number is in the 4XXX range.
