If you can find one in like new condition or NIB they will set you back $900-$1200. regardless of condition, they will command a higher price than 77s in common rounds. lou

DR watson.
If you just want the cartridge, ruger has the hawkeye , available in .358.
Unfortunatly its only in SS with a blastic stock. ButI could still like to have one , and put a banded front site and a good flip up rear...tj3006

Thomas, it's not just the caliber. I have a 358 in blr. It's a hard to find caliber in an older gun that is not made anymore. I wanted to see what it may be worth.

Got a stainless BlR in a 358 WIn and got it for $750 used. Probably over paid for it, but I had to look for quite some time before I could find one. My wife has annexed it as her gun.

Look on the gun auction site as I just did and you will find many .358 wins forsal3e. I've used one a long times shells are not hard to get and if you want to have some fun try reloading.

Wish I had known. We had one in the shop I do work for about a month ago. Tang Safety model, unfired but with a few handling marks on the wood. Sold it for $350.

I have a 77R (which came with rings) tang safety in 300WinMag that I bought new in '91 for $425. The value now is about $550. It is in great condition. If yours is a 77RS (which has rings and fixed sights) it will be of higher value, an uncommon caliber usually jacks the price up even higher.

They're now available in blued & walnut. I've had a firm price quote in hand for over a month from my regular gun pimp.

Since the Hawkeye is made in .358 now the old Ruger is not worth much. Of course there has to be someone that prefers the old push feed gun but not me.

I have four .358's now and none of them are Rugers. Nice gun though the Hawkeye.
