I don't understand your replies? I was refering to a post in the "gunsmithing" forum that has photos of my new 35 Whelen, that is a medium bore isn't it? Just thought I might share.

People around here aren't mind readers. There is no reference to the fact that it was posted elsewhere exept in the title and I thought that was refering to it as a work in progress. Post a link maybe?

No offense meant Chuck. You were able to figure it out easy enough. Canada must be the most polite place if "Sometimes you got to lead a horse to water" is an insult. Not that thats a bad thing. But hey, getting into arguments on the internet is not something I choose to participate in. Hope you liked the rifle and find good deals for yourself too.

Nice piece of plunder you have there ! Do you know who made the stock on that rifle? I'm in the process of getting together parts for a 338-06 and am researching my stock options (Boyd's laminate or synthetic). Thanks.

Who made the stock is one of the mystries of the rifle. It is painted with a black textured paint and is brown on the inside. No checkering. I wish I knew who made it because it fits me perfectly and I would buy another for my next gun.
