I have just pickup my new left hand bolt. Now I know that it's a well designed rig but, I have one question for those how own any blaser R93s. CAN YOUR R93 FIRE AND DENT THE PRIMER WITHOUT THE BOLT ALL THE WAY "EXPANDED"? I'm asking only because this one CAN!!! I was lucky that I didn't find this out on the range. Just by chance, I decided to try setting off the trigger with the bolt on the way to the closed position.(a primed shell without powder or a bullet was placed in the chaimber) WELL BEFORE THE BOLT WAS IN THE LOCKED POSITION IT WENT OFF!!!!!!! FIRING THE PRIMER!!!!!! Now the righthanded bolt didn't the hundred plus times I tried with it. WHY? WHAT'S THE DIFFERINCE? AND YES, it seems that the bolt would come back no you if the round was fired in this same manner! Your thoughts are welcome 338vt

I am in shock it sounds like you need to take that rifle back to where you bought it. I had a sako TRG-42 in .338 LM lovely rifle get that instead. The pressision was 12mm at 200 meters tree shot group. I do not trust the blaser system it scares me to be honest. My friend has a R93 in 8x68s and the rifle is very unpleasent to shoot. If one was given to me for free I would not take it Life is too short for bad wine and studip dangerous guns Cheers, Andr

I am preoccupied, but I would never hunt with a R 93! Long live Mauser actions ( and the good derivatives! )!! Some 10 years of making military rfles with the most stupid 3rd world conscripts and the baddest ammo you could think of may have teached some things and added some insurances to Mauser type rifles ( Mod 88 ( Commission rifle ) to Mod 98 ). Blasers are, despite their price, cheap to produce! H
